Can you make a custom glass tabletop or repair a glass tabletop?
Lemon Bay Glass specializes in creating glass tabletops for your home or business. Unfortunately, most cracked tabletop glass pieces cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
Does Lemon Bay Glass cut glass for custom tabletops, mirrors, etc?
Yes, we will need the exact measurements desired or you can bring in the frame or table to assure a perfect fit. We also provide in-field measurements for those who request a professional to measure.
Can you replace just one pane of glass on a double-pane window?
Rarely. Most double or triple-pane windows are manufactured in a quality-controlled environment and sealed to keep air or gas trapped between the panes. Once the seal has failed, the water and staining that occurs from condensing and evaporating leaves a hazy film on the glass that cannot be cleaned to perfection.
Do you replace glass sliding door rollers?
Yes. We do replace rollers if needed.
Do you help design custom showers?
Yes. We will schedule a consultation to come out and help design your glass shower enclosure or you can visit our showroom to see an array of options.
What is the current lead time for shower glass enclosures?
From the day of order typically it will take 3-4 weeks to fabricate and installation is scheduled within 1 week of all materials received.
When will I receive my quote?
Estimates vary by project but typically take up to 48-72 hours. Some factors that can change lead time are the level of difficulty, specialty glass, complex designs, availability of parts, etc. Please understand we are working to the best of our ability to provide your quote in a reasonable timeframe.
Can you fix foggy windows due to condensation between the panes?
No. If you have condensation between panes, the glass unit will need to be replaced. This can usually be accomplished by replacing just the glass and not the whole window.
Can I upgrade my entry door to include blinds between the glass?
Yes, in most cases we can replace the existing window in your door.
Why does my window keep falling down instead of staying up when opened?
In most cases, this is caused by a failed window balance. Contact our office today to set up a service call to get this repaired.
Can you cut tempered glass?
Unfortunately, tempered safety glass, by design, cannot be cut. It is designed to break into small pieces when cut or broken, to reduce the risk of major injuries.
How do I know if the glass in my commercial building is safety glass?
All safety glass should have a logo in one of the corners that note the glass is safety glass. There are code requirements for safety glass as well.
We are remodeling and would like to have our existing mirror cut down to a smaller size. Can you do that?
Yes, though there is no guarantee that your existing mirror can be taken down or cut without breaking.
What are Lemon Bay Glass and Mirror's regular business hours?
Office hours are Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Delivery hours are Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Do you offer auto glass service?
Unfortunately, we do not service auto glass. We can provide recommendations.
What does "Low-E" mean?
Low-E glass or low emissivity has a reflective coating. The low-E coated glass blocks UV rays and permits 95% of natural light to pass through it. During our Florida cool weather months, it will hold in the heat by reflecting it back into the room.
Should I use 3/8" thick or 1/2" thick glass for my frameless shower enclosure?
That will depend on several factors such as the size of each panel of glass and the height of the shower enclosure. Most of the time, 3/8″ thick glass is fine. Our Lemon Bay Glass team of experts will evaluate your specific situation and make a recommendation based on needs and ultimately what is best for your individual enclosure.
